Christmas Card Pictures

Since Millie is such a turkey, we didn't pay for pictures this year. We had Scott's sister take some during Thanksgiving. SUCH an ORDEAL!  Millie would only be in it if the tablet was in front of her playing minion videos. There were only a few out of about a hundred where she was looking at the camera. Of course Blue Fish had to be in every one.

Merry Christmas to all!

Zaycon

 https://www.zayconfoods.com/refer/zf286095
This is my referral link. If you want to try it, please click above.

We've been using this company to buy meat in bulk. So far, we've gotten ground beef, bacon and chicken. It's all excellent quality and cooks up very nicely. I can (preserve) the chicken and the ground beef. It lets Scott (and me) to be able to cook without worrying about defrosting or degredation of quality in the freezer.

I really like the quality of the meat and that it's responsibly sourced.

Lion's Club Carnival

Every fall, my hometown has the Lion's Club Charity Carnival. Since we've had kids, my sister, her family, us and my parents have all gone together. It's a lot of fun!

Energy Day

In October the local energy museum and the art museum held a family arts day - Dinosaurs at the energy museum and Eat A Bug at the Art Museum.
Millie is still bringing Blue Fish with her everywhere.

Halloween

For Halloween, Grace was her tried-and-true Hermione, but also branched out and was Merida for one day. Millie very reluctantly put on an orange witch costume that we had. I got a feathered mask at an art show and wore it with a witch's robe and hat.
Scott played around with his steampunk garb.

We were dueling.

Update - Thanksgiving

Well, it's been awhile.
What is up with us?
Lots and lots - we've been busy.
I'm going to update backwards.
For Thanksgiving, we had a week off from school.
We had our small family Thanksgiving and my sister's birthday celebration the Saturday before. It was fun for the cousins to get together.
We spent a lot of time at home until Thursday. Too much time at home.
We went to Houston early Thursday and spent the day and night with Scott's family.
The girls had a good time, but it was good to come home.
Saturday we went to the Christmas celebration in my sister's town called Christmas in the Park. It was good to get the kids together and they had a good time.

Millie is still not crazy about Santa in person. She likes pictures of him, but she's not wild about sitting with him.

Galveston Vacation

Our second and last vacation was to Galveston Island. My parents were generous enough to pay for our motel the 2 nights we were there. My sister and her family stayed at the other end of the island at a private beach condo with private beach clubs. We were able to go there and play with them for 2 days. The middle day, we all went to Moody Gardens. We hadn't been there for awhile, so it was nice to see all of the exhibits and animals. It was so sad to see the huge animals in the tiny little pens, though. We took Grace to the Rainforest cafe and rode the ride, which she loved. She loved playing with her cousins too and I think my parents enjoyed seeing all of their grandkids together and playing. Grace was so embarrassing at Moody Gardens though. We rented a stroller for Millie, which of course, she wouldn't sit in. Grace ended up riding in it and having my mother push her. No amount of shame or force would get her out of that stroller, and my mother was just happy as a clam to push her. So obnoxious.
