Recital

I'm doing my own little dance that this is our last recital for awhile. We've decided to sit out of dance for a year or so. It's not fun for any of us and she didn't really know her dances this year. We may come back in a few years when she's more coordinated and wanting to be there. We're back to soccer, and girl scouts and church. Still busy, but not dance. Until Millie gets old enough for baby ballet, that is.

Moonlight Ride aka the hardest thing I've ever done

A confluence of events came my way a few weeks ago. My friend got a new bike to ride back and forth to her new office. I was looking through the local event schedules to see what we wanted to do this summer or some things we can do as a girl scout troop and I saw this Moonlight Madness bike ride advertised. Without looking too deeply, I forwarded it to her and forgot about it. Well, she insisted that we do it as soon as she found out that I actually had a bike to ride. So we saddled up and rode 14.5 miles at 10 at night through city streets. It was the hardest thing I've done lately. Me and my Huffy I got for my high school graduation. I've been riding with Grace since then, but my booty definitely reminds me of it every time I get on the seat.

We took 3 girls to the beach clean up. It was fun and a good experience for the girls.

Have you seen this show? It's very funny. Leslie Knope is so over the top, but she's the real deal, and she makes me want to be awesome at a higher level.

Easter

We had a great Easter weekend. After all of the festivities at school, we spent Saturday with another girl scout at Shangri La EcoFest, then with the rest of the family at my parents. Sunday, we went to church, then to Houston to see Scott's parents.
