Before we went out of town last week, we went grocery shopping and got a produce basket. I realized about Wednesday that we were never going to use that much stuff before it went bad, so I decided to can it. My friend came over Thursday to help. It's time-consuming to do different things in one night, but we managed to can carrots, potatoes, sweet potatoes and cabbage in 2 days. And everything sealed!

Aggiecon 2014 Costume contest

Grace entered the costume contest as a fairy princess. She went right up on stage and talked in to the microphone like she was twice her age. She's such a little lady! She was among the winners as the cutest. No prizes, but she was really happy to be on stage and be with the other cosplayers, especially the ponies. She wants to cosplay one of the ponies next year. And Hermione, which she loves. I think a pony would be better for the costume contest, but Hermione is a great costume too.

Aggieon 2014

We made our annual pilgrimage to all things geek in College Station this weekend. Millie was, predictably, a ring-tailed tooter most of the weekend. Grace was in the costume contest and I'll post pics of her later on. It's nice to get away and as the girls get older it will be more enjoyable. We can't take Millie anywhere right now and it's too cold to swim.
